Say Hello to Misty!!

Misty is a playful, sweet, and sassy Great Pyrenees who will soon turn three.  She loves people, dogs and kids.  Cats are scary creatures.   Misty came into rescue skinny with some skin issues, but she is filling out nicely and her skin is now clear.  Misty’s previous owners didn’t know how to care for her once she became a big dog,  and she was left crated too long.

In her foster home, Misty has free reign of the house and goes in and out of the doggy door at will.  She hasn't expressed any interest in jumping the fence and/or roaming.  She is learning to walk on a leash, and she is curious about every new experience and smell.

Misty is social and wants to be best friends with every friendly dog and person she meets.  Her family will need to help her with boundaries and giving other dogs space.  She absolutely adores her fur foster siblings.

Misty would thrive in a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time and has set routines and structure.  She would do best in a home with at least one other playful fur sibling.  She sleeps or at least stays indoors most of the night and sleeps on the couch, the floor, but very rarely on her bed.  She WILL wake you up in the morning if she thinks you have slept long enough, and she needs her breakfast.

Misty can be dramatic and sassy, and it is hilarious.  She can also be very sweet, loving and sensitive.  She is scared of fireworks and thunder and other loud noises.  She can also be counted on to do her job of protecting her family and will often times sleep right at the front entrance.  She has the classic Pyr traits of being a very vocal, stubborn, sweetheart that enjoys occasional counter surfing.  She would make a wonderful pet for someone looking to add a gorgeous gal to their pack.

Misty is in Texas, but she can be on the next transport to the PNW!
