Hi there! I'm Katy! I was brought into rescue from a pretty awful property in Southern Oregon. When I arrived it was noted that I had a significant limp and required surgery on my right knee. Unfortunately my first surgery didn't take, and in February I went back in for my second surgery. I am recovering very well and currently working on improving my mobility by attending rehab with my own veterinary assistant Kim at Healing Arts Animal Care! My foster parents and I work on exercises at home too because when foster Dad says you're doing rehab I said Yes, Yes, Yes! I do have some hip dysplasia and will need to maintain a healthy weight and will benefit from some joint supplements. I love walks but might never be a distance hiker, although as I get stronger I’m able to walk farther and farther! I love to play with toys and horse around outside. My favorite toys are the ones for super chewers and the squeaky kind. I pull all the stuffing out of those and foster mom just re-stuffs for the next day (she doesn't think I know but I'm a really smart girl!) I would be happy with a brother or sister to play with but could also be the only dog. I am a sweet, sweet girl that can be a bit shy at first, but when I settle in I love everyone and just want to play and be petted. I am crate trained and potty trained, walk well on a leash and sleep in my crate at night. I am food and treat motivated which makes me very receptive to training. I love to lay on dog pillows and rugs wherever my people and animal friends are. I get along well with other dogs both small and large. I would love to be part of your family and am being fostered in Beaverton, OR. I can be adopted within OR-WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.
